What a relief to have found this place for lunch on the way to Berat! It is very clean and spacious, with friendly and prompt service. Their private parking is also a breeze for the 9-seater we rented.
We're Asian tourists who had just started our road trip in Albania and were worried we would find it difficult to adjust to the food here, but the chicken/beef/fried eggs + soup and chicken soup were so comforting, with the rice very well seasoned. English menus available.
We paid a fantastic price of 3,040 LEK for 2 x chicken and rice, 2 x beef steak and rice, 2x chicken soup, 1 x omelette, 1 rice, 2 cans of lemon tea.
The place also appeared to be filled with well-heeled local clientele (fancy cars parked all over), so I think we accidentally discovered a local hot-spot!
We walked in and it was full, that says a lot about this place. The waiter accommodated us right away, he answered all of our questions clearly and with knowledge. All the dishes were hot and tasty! My kids were so happy after we finished. I wanted to try the ‘tave kosi’ because it’s a traditional dish in this city. It was so so good! Id recommend it to everyone!! The rice, beefsteak, chicken cutlet, fries, homemade yogurt all delicious
✨ During my visit to this place, it was relatively quiet. However, due to a lack of staff, it took quite some time to get served. There was only one waitress, a young tall gentleman, who seemed to be running around rather than walking, giving the impression that they were understaffed.
We ordered the "Rice with Chopped Steak," but unfortunately, it wasn't that great. The rice was undercooked, among other issues. I have had better meals at other establishments.
Despite the disappointing experience, I might consider stopping by in the future. However, it would be beneficial for them to change the menu on the table as it was difficult to read.
