Taverna Kuka

We wanted to eat traditional food that hasn’t been too obviously watered down for tourists, outside of the tourist swarms of Old Bazaar. This place was perfect—great views in a tranquil courtyard, delicious food, great service. We ordered several of the traditional dishes and loved it all. We even had a nice lesson in Albanian pronunciation from the waiter. I was cold and I asked for a table cloth to cover my shoulders and they obliged.

I would highly recommend eating here! We came with an international group and wanted to try a variety of local dishes. The fabulous staff recommended us a variety of dishes and were very friendly. We ate on the patio with a sunset view. And of course the food was delicious! Don’t skip this place!

We came here for dinner and the restaurant has a super nice, green outside seating area. The waiters were very friendly and welcoming and brought us a high chair for our baby. A six year old belonging to the restaurant family came out to play with our son and ended up being a perfect entertainer and babysitter. He spoke perfect English, as did the rest of the staff. The food was good, too, but what stuck with is most was the hospitality of the place. :)
