We had great pasta and the food was top notch. But the server was only interested in the girl at the table. Had a whole load of stories about how amazing he was. Did not look at me once. Then he proceeded to stay near our table during the whole dinner. Just behind me, totally in vision of my friend. We realised that some of the Albanian words that he was talking with his colleagues, we said just a minute earlier, so they were clearly talking about us the entire dinner. Then when I asked for the bill and she was at the toilet, he barely said a word, didn't smile, and slammed the bill on the table while just walking by the table and not saying anything. The vibe was weird and not friendly. Only friendly because he was interested in her, which also made her uncomfortable. Pasta was excellent though.
Fancier spot. Google maps didn't ping it exactly, so this spot is to the street after the church to the left, before the main street of the mosque. Service was great. Menu had many options for homemade pasta. My tortellini dish was perfect with the shaved Parmesan. They also brought out an extra bowl of grated parmesan. We also ordered the black truffle mushrooms risotto that was super tasty and not overly salty. The rose went nicely with the dishes. They also offered complimentary bread that we had to ask for. Clean bathrooms too. All in all, a wonderful experience and under $20 USD.
Excellent homemade pasta. Small portions and a little pricey but worth it. Very friendly and attentive service from Mario. Definitely a must try if you are visiting and get sick of the typical Albanian fare (though why would you?!). Only downside is the smoking area is in the front and constantly fills the entire place with smoke.
